Harry Kane suffers injury in Tottenham's clash with Liverpool

Harry Kane was withdrawn at half-time in Tottenham's clash with Liverpool having suffered an injury midway through the first half.

The England man spent a couple of minutes receiving treatment after a collision with England teammate Jordan Henderson, though he managed to find his way back to his feet before re-joining play.

However, despite seemingly managing to run off the knock, Kane failed to reappear for the second half and was replaced by Erik Lamela.

The England captain appeared to be clutching his ankle when down, a sight which will no doubt send shivers down the spines of Spurs fans given his track record with ankle issues.

Kane has endured a number of knocks to his ankle which have seen him sidelined for significant periods of time, though it remains to be seen whether the most recent knock is as serious as some of his others.

Jose Mourinho will be hoping his talisman isn't forced to endure a prolonged period of time in the treatment room, with Carlos Vinicius the only other senior out and out centre-forward at the club. The Brazilian has failed to notch a single Premier League goal since arriving at the club on loan from Benfica.
