Martin Jol has reported that striker Lee Barnard has undergone a successful operation with a specialist in Holland to resolve an ankle injury that meant the striker hasn't featured at all for either the reserves or the first team so far this season.
"Lee did so well last season and we extended his contract because we really thought he could be a Spurs player. But he's had this injury," said Jol.
Reserve team boss Clive Allen, said: "Lee had surgery and everyone was very confident that the problem he had has been found. He required the surgery to really give him back the mobility in his ankle that has caused him difficulties since the start of the season."
