Reading between the lines the FAPL are none too pleased either, they wanted Spurs to report the matter straight away (We have yet to receive a formal complaint from Spurs etc).

Chelsea’s view is that they are beyond reproach and have acted like gentlemen from start to finish, not a point of view shared by many other people on this planet.

Interestingly enough they have never denied sending an offer to Frank instead they assert that they made an official approach to Spurs, this part is true but alas for them Spurs refused permission.

Now they are insinuating via the media that Spurs may have tapped up four of their players, even though one of these has just signed for Birmingham, They won’t openly accuse Spurs though as if it was found to be untrue, they would be open to a libel suit.

Meanwhile Premier league soccer is to be perpetually dragged through the gutter until such time as Chelsea get their way.
