Enfield training ground application declined

Despite a recommendation from Enfield Borough's Planning Officers and the Mayor of London, the Committee in charge of accepting or declining Tottenham's plan to build a new training ground, voted against the club's application.

But it was quite clear from the Officer's report that a lot of support was registered by the club's fans, particularly those who live locally to the proposed site.

Sporting Director Damien Comolli said: “The support was terrific but we were always aware of the inherent difficulties in seeking planning within the Metropolitan Green Belt.”
