"I think it's unbelievable people have said me and Robbie can't play together. I have improved my all round game, I always think about the team and even against Sunderland I set up Robbie. I hope people take notice of that and remember that when I first signed for the club I played my first four or five games up front with Robbie and we scored lots of goals," he said.
"The partnership was good then and yet all of a sudden people are saying we cannot play together. I can name lots of great partnerships where neither has been big and yet they have still produced the goods," he added.
