The pair stayed close since they were briefly at West Ham together.
"He used to help me so much in training, things like when to hold my runs. Wrighty would score all different goals with his right foot, left foot and headers. I loved his desire, his mad celebrations and the way he loved the game," he said
The Tottenham striker also listened to Wright during his long spell on the substitute’s bench this season.
"When I was out of the team he rang me and gave me support. He gave me loads of encouragement and advice telling me to keep my head up, and to keep working hard in training so that I was ready for my chance. I knew I had something to prove so when I got back into the team against Charlton, I scored twice, we got three points and I felt good," he added.
