Edgar Davids will undergo a routine eye check in Holland after deciding against a permanent return to his homeland.
The Dutchman and Teemu Tainio (twisted ankle) both miss Saturday's friendly at Borussia Dortmund, but Paul Stalteri and Anthony Gardner return. Paul Robinson is also ready for action against the Bundesliga side.
Spurs boss Martin Jol confirmed that Davids will remain at the club in the forthcoming season. He said: "Ajax (Amsterdam) wanted him but he wanted to stay." (The Independent)
Meanwhile, former Werder Bremen defender Stalteri confirmed to the club's official website, "I'm almost there in terms of full fitness."
