Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp's heart must have skipped a beat when Beckham, on his second day of training, dropped to the floor clutching his right foot.
Rumours of an injury breakdown spread like wildfire on the internet, only for the whole incident to come down to a blister.

Sources close to the former England captain stressed last night that Beckham suffered no serious injury and the scare was just a case of Chinese whispers.
The blister is said to have been caused by a new pair of boots that still needed wearing in and the 35-year-old is expected to train this morning.
Redknapp admits he is loving every minute of having Beckham in his squad but joked yesterday that the midfielder, who is renowned for his pinpoint delivery, still has something to learn.

Tottenham were still trying to thrash out a loan deal for Beckham yesterday. The main stumbling block is LA Galaxy's insistence that he can only stay until February 10.
