England Under-21 centre-back Calum Davenport who was signed from Coventry City for £1.5m in August 2004, then loaned immediately to West Ham United before a recall to make a single appearance for Spurs as a substitute in November has teamed up with former Spurs captain Jamie Redknapp at Southampton.
"This is ideal for us, Southampton want him and I think it is very good for Calum and Tottenham in that we can see him play at the highest level. He will hopefully get a lot of games," said Tottenham's Sporting Director Frank Arnesen.
Winger Johnnie Jackson has also signed for Ray Lewington's Watford. He started in both of the Hornets’ New Year fixtures.
"It's easier for me to impress my club playing in a pressure environment like the Championship rather than the reserves," said the youngster.
21-year-old striker Jamie Slabber has joined League One side Swindon Town. He featured in the second half of their home defeat against Colchester on New Year's Day.
