One has played for Spurs in the UEFA Cup, whilst the other has played in the UEFA Cup for his previous club. Meanwhile Spurs captain Ledley King is about to enter an almost entirely new experience.

Tottenham's assistant boss Chris Hughton said: "UEFA Cup nights were always memorable evenings for us in the past and we were fortunate in that we have always drawn a big support for our European games."

"Slavia were a very offensive side on the day myself and Martin went to see them, one capable of scoring goals. Stanislav Vlcek up front was probably the biggest threat in the game we saw.

"The manager's son Lukas Jarolim is also a very effective player who was on most of the free-kicks and corners."

Teemu Tainio who plyed his trade at Auxerre before joining Spurs at the beginning of last season said: "I have played maybe 20 UEFA Cup games."

"We have spoken to Radek (Cerny), he said Slavia are a good team, but we should go through."

Skipper Ledley King said: "We've watched European football a lot on television."

"To have heard we've got 3,000 travelling fans was great to hear."
