Tottenham have pulled their interest in moving to the Olympic Stadium after the 2012 Games.
Both Tottenham and West Ham were understood to have enquired about the possibility of putting a football pitch in place with the running track around it.
Chairman Daniel Levy had even hinted that Tottenham would be interested in the move, but Sporting Director Damien Comolli has since ruled it out because clubs that had moved to similar stadia in the past have considered it a mistake, owing to a poor atmosphere, and plummeting attendances.
