Charlton's search for midfield reinforcements has seen them sign Tottenham teenager Dean Parrett.
The England Under 19 star will remain at The Valley until the end of the season.
Parrett was on loan at another League One club, Plymouth Argyle, earlier in the current campaign and also gained experience during a temporary spell with Aldershot in 2009.
The youngster has yet to play in the Barclays Premier League for Spurs but has two UEFA Cup appearances, both against Shakhtar Donetsk two years ago, to his credit.
Parrett will be in the squad for Saturday's London derby against Brentford at The Valley, with the Addicks desperate to revive their promotion challenge after taking just one point from their last six league games.
