Spurs finished this season on a high with a 2-0 win at relegated Wolves and Pleat singled out the youngsters that have been introduced during his spell in charge of first team affairs for a change in fortunes.
"Take out Ziege, Keller, Redknapp and Brown and it's a very young side ," he told the clubs official website after the game at The Molineux.
"We had enough about us today and we proved we have got good players who can express themselves.
"We just got caught in a trap this season with a number of bad results but we have done a lot of good things since then and put the club in good order."
On his own future at White Hart Lane, Pleat commented: "I am certainly not continuing. All I am doing now is looking forward to spending some time with my family."
