Back to league matters

Keith Burkinshaw's Watford stand in the way of Tottenham making it three home wins in a row. Martin Jol's side have netted seven goals since their defeat at the hands of Manchester United, including three against Sporting Braga.

Dimitar Berbatov scored his first goals at White Hart Lane since the Carling Cup semi-final. The Bulgarian was praised for his performance as Spurs recorded a 4-1 league victory against Bolton Wanderers three weeks ago, even though the striker wasn't on the scoresheet that day.

The former Tottenham boss told WatfordFC.co.uk: "Spurs look as though they have hit a rich vein of form lately and are scoring a lot of goals. I suppose from our point of view the goals against record isn't brilliant so that gives us some hope."

"They've a match on Monday so they'll have half an eye on that. It's a FA Cup tie and I know at Tottenham they hold great store by FA Cup games, so it'll be interesting to see what team they put out on Saturday.

"I think Berbatov is a terrific player. I saw him when he played in the reserves at the start of the season and thought 'he's a little bit special this lad'. His goalscoring achievements at the moment are very, very clever. He's going to be in the top two or three players."
