Four-times sports of the year photographer Andy chooses this capture of Gareth Bale celebrating against Fulham as his standout selection...
?After Tottenham's Gareth Bale scored against Fulham on Sunday, he ran in my direction. As he did so, I noticed he was beginning to form a shape with his hands so moved my focus down towards them.
The result is this simple but effective image of a purple heart. Celebration pictures normally show the goalscorer's face, but I like that this image doesn't. It's different.
Even without Gareth's face Spurs fans would immediately understand what has just taken place so the image still tells the story.? The deception of the image is that Gareth looks as though he is standing still in front of the camera, he wasn't he was running full pelt to the corner flag to celebrate with his team mates.
