Adebayor has been in exceptional form for Spurs since heading to White Hart Lane from Manchester City on a season-long loan, scoring three times including a brace against Liverpool last weekend.
The Togolese striker has also formed a promising partnership with Spurs striker Jermain Defoe, a development which Redknapp believes could make the difference as Spurs chase a Champions League place.
"He couldn't have had a better start for us," Redknapp said Friday ahead of his team's clash with Wigan this weekend.
"If he has a great season he can take us to where we want to be.
"He is a really good player. There is no doubting his ability and Jermain Defoe has linked up well with him.
"He is full of enthusiasm. He trains, runs around like he is enjoying himself. He is full of the joys of spring.
"He always wants to get the ball and the lads have enjoyed having him. He could be a great player for us this year."
