Following on from my story earlier this morning about Willian refusing to return to Shakhtar, it is now believed that Shakhtar have admitted defeat in holding onto the player.
Willian has forced Shakhtar's hand by not returning to the Ukraine and the club were fast to act upon his refusal by buying Taison. Although this story has recently come out it is believed that Shakhtar were aware of the situation long before the story broke.
Due to the situation Shakhtar are now looking to cash in on one of their prized asset’s and have in fact weakened their stance on the transfer.
Previously Shakhtar had stated that they would not deal for less than £20million, but given the current situation they are now willing to listen to offers below this.
Whilst many fans are split on whether they believe Willian will turn out at White Hart Lane, you cannot but hold hope for the deal to go through. Knowing that Shakhtar are now willing to sell and that Willian only wanted to move to London (with just Tottenham confirming their interest) it looks as if a Levy could be getting pulled as we speak.
It has been said that there are representatives speaking with Willian already so I really do hope that this is not another slap in the face from Levy not willing to deal.
I can't help but believe this one as all the rumours seem to be making sense.
