Knowing what to write as you first article is hard work, especially as most of the fans out there are going to have something to say, so do you moan about the lack of players brought in the January window? Do you moan about the fact that it looks certain that Harry will leave at the end of the season? Or do you ask if a fans opinion really counts any more?
I think its obvious, that latter is where to start, hopefully it will get some good talking points going.
I have been a Spurs fan for years and have seen the team go from bad to ok to good. I’ve seen some great players come and go and some good and bad managers come and go. But what I really want to know is if as a fan if our opinion really counts as much as it used to?
You look at how players seem to get what they want, but the fans are always left scratching their heads. The beautiful game has begun to turn and you only have to look at whats going on to see that the cracks are starting to show. Rangers look dead and buried along with Portsmouth, its a sorry state of affairs for football nowadays.
I am old enough to remember when you saw players giving everything all the time and in those days the fans seemed to have a say. Now it seems its all about business, the bottom line or da Bling ba Bling.
When will the clubs turn back to the shouts and cries of the fans? If enough call out for a change why not listen? If the the fans are telling you to get rid of a manger or keep a player why do the clubs not listen? Look at Tevez, Suarez, Terry, Kean and McCarthy the list goes on, but its the fans that give the true blood to keep the game pumping.
We don’t moan about how much money we deserve, we don’t moan about how much game time we want, we simply show up and pay good money to do it. Its about time that the players, managers and clubs paid something back.
I for one want to see Redknapp stay, I want to see fresh players brought in when we need them (like to help push on after the christmas break) and lastly I want to see the players really putting in the effort every game no matter what.
I would like to see what the readers opinions are on whether the fans voice is still heard and if its being taken on board at all by the clubs, player and managers.
Let me know your thoughts on this, but don’t hold back be honest, we’re all fans, we all have the same passion and want our team to push on. Come On You Spurs!!
