I know that many Arsenal fans will harp on about the past and that they won 5-2 in the reverse fixture blah blah blah. The difference is that as it stands we are the in-form London club and are unbeaten in the past 12 games and won our past 4 and are sitting back in 3rd.
Looking at the remaining games between Arsenal, Chelsea and us we certainly have the harder remaining 10 games left, so we will be working for that 3rd spot (forget 4th we have the capabilities to surpass that now).
The issue for Arsenal and Chelsea is that there are far too many issues between the board, its fans and their managers. Chelsea has a bad issue in that they have a manager that stated he would never manage Chelsea, the fans hate him and it’s disrupted the squad. It’s never a good thing to have an interim manager for a full season, the players don't know whether they will be coming or going. As for Arsenal they have sold their best players and replaced them with half decent players. This has further upset the fans with an announcement of a large amount of funds sat on the books! This leads to the players than questioning the ambition of the club.
Tottenham have a settled squad, a manager that is very tactically minded and a team that is working hard for him (whilst producing the results). So obviously our fans are delighted and supporting everyone (even the lazy or unwanted players).
I can see that we can achieve 3rd (2nd potentially, but I feel City will take that spot) and as long as we can keep the same squad as yesterday (starting and subs) we can achieve our best end to a season and finish in our highest position (on confidence alone).
Is it all ours to lose? Potentially, if we beat Liverpool though I think it’s ours to win.
