Ever since the end of last season Tap'em Up Madrid have been pushing their opinions and doing the absolute best to unsettle Bale, the club and it's fans.
Tap'em Up Madrid have come out stating that Bale should request a transfer, that he is wasted at Tottenham, that he is one of the world's best (agreed) and most recently (and in my opinion the worst) is what former Tap'em Up Madrid President has come out with.
Calderon has stated that Bale is and I quote;
"It seems that he is pushing very hard to leave Tottenham," he told TalkSport.
"I experienced the same with Cristiano Ronaldo. The player is not looking for money in this. What he is looking for is the opportunity to get trophies and personal awards and recognition.
"It seems that Gareth Bale thinks he can get that at Real Madrid so now it's just down to how strong he is going to be in his idea to move."
Interestingly enough Bale has just won every award going in the Premier League last season other than top goalscorer, so I fail to see how Calderon believes he can get more "personal recognition"? Only other way is on Europe's biggest stage in the Champions League. However Bale still made it into the list of UEFA's preliminary Best Player, so again it's not really a question of Champions League then is it?
What Tap'em Up Madrid are attempting to do is leave Bale with no choice but to leave Tottenham, by insinuating that Bale is "doing his best to leave". These sorts of quotes should not be allowed. Not because I am a Tottenham fan and hate all that is Tap'em Up Madrid (and every broken rule they stand for), but it is simply not fair on the player.
I understand if Bale believes he can get more from a team in the Champions League, you would be stupid not to see that. However if your club is reluctant to let you go then you have to honor your contract and show some respect to the fans and the club. As it stand's this is seemingly what Bale is actually doing.
Essentially I see Tap'em Up Madrid's bid to sign Bale this year as a big mistake. Levy is a private man and the way in which Tap'em Up Madrid have approached this has further cemented Levy's wish to keep Bale this season. Tap'em Up Madrid's President, Manager and Players have all made their opinion and what Bale "is" doing well known.
I hate the idea of Bale playing for another premier league side, but I would rather he go to United than Tap'em Up Madrid! They will destroy him as a player and do not seem to have the setup to help develop players from outside of Spain. This has been proven with the likes of VDV, Sneijder, Huntelaar and Di Maria, their childish impatience is what corrupts their whole setup and undermines each and every player and decision made within the club.
If Tap'em Up Madrid are not seen as playing a dangerous game then you have to take a good long hard look at yourself. They have made it increasingly difficult for the player to stay and this is in hope that Levy will cave and let him go for a price that Tap'em Up Madrid can actually afford (in my research that's about £1, as they owe money to everyone, including us!).
I refuse to begrudge Bale a move, but if you state you will stay and help do something next season I expect for you to live up to that. Bale only owes this to the fans from his own promise, if he had not of made it I would have been sad to see him leave, but would understand.
My honest opinion is that he should reject Tap'em Up Madrid and wait on Barca or Bayern to come in with a decent offer and he would flourish there (if he had to move). If we are given the chance this season I truly believe that he will get the opportunity to shine brighter than last season with the huge additions and impending additions to our squad.
