Every season there was usually a turning point from looking bad to looking dreadful in our games against Utd, most notably for me was 2001 3-5 loss and then the fateful 0-0 in 2005 when Mendes’s goal was not given. Whether the Utd team were under strength or whether they were on a bad run we always lossed to them or could only dream of a draw.
Yesterday should have seen the first double over Utd in the EPL history. A win would certainly have been a better reflection on the stats. How 4 points from them is still a record to shout about!
Either way the Spurs players all said the same thing, we deserved a win, where as the Utd staff concentrated on 1 small incident in the entire game, why weren't we given a penalty.
It shows that Utd feel they are above everyone as they forget to comment on the mere 4 shots they had compared to Spurs 14. It’s a ridiculous notion to look at a small part of the game in which Utd had many things go for them, but either way Utd came for a draw and got it, we played for a win and were unlucky to get a draw. The better team didn't win, but it could have been worse if the penalty was given.
I am happy with the result and I was happy when I predicted that.
