We currently sit behind Everton and surprisingly WBA in the Squawka Top 20 Premier League defenders.
Everton sit way ahead with 1187 points, WBA on 693 and us on 656 (so there's not much between 3rd and 2nd), if you want to look at it in depth we all know it was the West Ham game that killed us!
We are joint second for goals conceded with Chelsea, again if it wasn't for the diabolical West Ham game we would have only conceded 2 goals and be sitting 2nd or joint top of the Premier League! It was a big lapse, so I hope that the lads have truly learnt from it. A clean sheet against Villa would suggest this, but it was an under strengthened forward line.
We have only conceded to three teams West Ham, Chelsea and Arsenal and only one other team can hold their hand up to that which is Southampton (who surprisingly sit first on the Squawka Top 20 Defenders).
This is another sign of big things to come as again we still have Danny Rose to come back. With an almost fully fit side you would expect the defence to improve and strengthen as the season goes on.
Again this is not something for Spurs fan's alike to be concerned about, it is not our weak point.
