Although AVB has stated that the Soldado deal is not dead we now have under a week to tie up the striker. The most trusted source Sky Sports have confirmed that talks are still ongoing.
Liverpool have been linked to the player, but with their refusal to allow Suarez to leave and with no initial deal in place for their striker there would be no time for them to attempt to get involved in the purchase of the striker.
There are talks that Valencia have been actively looking for a replacement, but a deal for Osvaldo of Roma has already fallen flat on its face.
Last time Valencia made a replacement of their top striker Soldado came in for Villa, which had worked out well, however now it is difficult as the pool of talented strikers is whittling fast in the summer window.
Djukic has added much fuel to the fire stating he believes now that Soldado will go, but both Tottenham and Valencia are attempting to be seen as doing the best for their club.
It has been reported that something is expected to be released before the weekend is out, but likely by Monday.
