No manager is going to go against his player, but rather than do the sensible thing and shut up he goes into the fact that he wants to play tit-for-tat!
Hughes ridiculously said:
"We don't appreciate some of their players Twittering on their own sites about 'Waiting for Charlie'. I think that has the potential for a disrepute charge in itself, so we'll see if that's responded to,"
Maybe he should concentrate on getting Adams some counseling, as the only reason I can see that the Stoke Joke is so malicious in his challenges is an underlying jealously of the skill the opposition players have compared to him. There is no other explanation for it.
Mark Hughes should stick to doing his players job and apologise for the lack of respect Adams has for the game, his club, his manager and his fellow professionals.
For me I hope that the player finally get's what's coming to him.
Going back a player that lacked in quality (and made up for it in hammering the players) were celebrated and talked up for their courage. However in the game today there simply is not space for it. If you cannot challenge fairly you shouldn't be playing. Plus Adams is no Viera or Keane, he is a poor mans Dennis Wise (although that’s unfair as I had respect for Wise).
For all non Spurs fan's reading this thinking what about Lloris, yes he did foul Young after the ball had left the player and was lucky not to give away a penalty or get booked. However the difference is that it was not a malicious challenge and we went for the ball not the player.
The sooner that Adams is sorted the better, I have a hatred for someone that goes out to injure players and the fact that he has done it time and time again just highlights his lack of intelligence and class.
Let's say a goodbye to Charlie and hope that the FA ban the IDIOT. As for Stoke fans I feel sorry for you to have such a disgrace sucking money from you.
Hopefully Paulinho will get back to his feet soon enough and he will pick up from where he left off.
