For all the things said about Tim and his management style he is not the sort of person to quit.
Looking back over Sherwood’s career (captain of the Premier League winning team of Blackburn) you can tell that Tim is passionate and gives everything 100%. However as this is his first job (and such a high profile one at that), it was never going to be easy. Again this matches Tim's mentality of being a risk taker.
I agree that Tim is not the man for Tottenham, but rather not right now. He has some good traits that you can see, but it is the experience that has let him down and this is not his fault.
He asks for people not to be sorry for him and I agree. This role has thrust him into management and has been the most exceptionally steep learning curve, but it will serve him well in the future.
The issue for me has always been the same with Tim and that is because he lacks experience, making it difficult to stray from the plans that you feel would work in the beginning. It has been seen as stubborn to many, but I think it is purely down to not knowing anything else.
He is listening to other managers, but used something’s at the wrong time (such as sitting in the stands).
I do not believe that Sherwood should be allowed to continue as manager next season at Spurs, but again this is only because we are not a club expected to be in transition next season. The club does not need a manager new to the management game. Personally I would bring in Louis Van Gaal and put Tim as his number 2 (understudy), this is what Tim needs and that is what would be good for the club. The team then get some continuity (however it is whether Louis would agree).
Either way come the end of the season I do not expect to see Tim still in the hot seat and likely (knowing Levy) something will come out shortly to compromise Sherwood’s position (as it's the usual Levy style).
