However I have to ask whether this is a genuine decision from Levy or whether this is actually something far more sinister?
Is it that Levy has actually got someone else in mind come the summer?
For me I agree that Sherwood be given the chance, but I do not agree with an 18 month contract. A decent Chairman would have judged the managers potential over at least 10 games not 2!
Sherwood may have what it takes to take us forward, but we will not for some time now.
Tim's tactics seem to suit that of the club, but how do we genuinely know if this is the case?
Again I will reserve judgement, but I agree that we did need someone as interim. All of this is what leads me to ask whether Levy is actually giving Tim what he wants, whilst he is agreeing for another manager in the mean time? Come the end of the season Sherwood would be out and the new manager in. It certainly seems more the case for me and knowing how Levy works I would not trust him at all. I would not expect him to go this route (as it would be costly), but I would not put this action past Levy.
Today was the mark of his first training session as Permanent manager.
What are your thoughts though? Should Sherwood be given a small but permanent contract? Is Levy making a genuine offer?
For the clubs sake I hope that Levy has thought this through thoroughly before offering Tim a permanent contract.
One thing I do agree with is that Sherwood is Tottenham through and through, so that means that at least we have a manager that knows the club and what is expected of him.
I just hope that the players show more respect to Sherwood than they did AVB.
