However due to Rose not being able to play in Sunderland's last game against us he has returned back to the Lane (completing his loan).
Also Rose had picked up a wrist injury Di Canio confirmed:
“Danny cannot play in the last game because it is against Tottenham. He is not staying with us this week because he needs to have surgery on his wrist. He has been fantastic for us and we want to thank him for everything he has done."
The Sunderland fans have requested that Di Canio sign him up, however it is yet to be seen if he features in the plans of AVB.
Di Canio added;
“I have not made any decisions over whether we will or will not pursue Danny in the summer. I will not make any decisions on transfers until we are safe.”
For me it is a difficult one as Danny has played ok for us but great for Sunderland. It is a would be difficult to let him go as Danny is certainly rising, but is it that he just doesn't want to play for Spurs after being left out for so long?
Either way I would like to welcome Danny back and we shall have to wait and see what the summer brings.
