Tottenham are the only club to have bid on the midfielder and Corinthians have now said;
"With the imminent departure of Paulinho we trust in football other players that are being prepared for some time, as William and Edenilson, or even the newly hired Ibson."
Supposedly all has been agreed, it is now just a case of the player signing on the dotted line. Paulinho has said himself that he would not do anything until after the Confederations Cup so we would expect the announcement to follow early next week.
This is not 2+2=5 here, this is common sense of what we have been told by Corinthians. If the players move is imminent and Tottenham are the only club involved then the deal is done right? Its both wrong and right. The reason for this is as always until the player himself has signed something/ anything could happen, but for now he seems destined for WHL.
Right with that one out of the way Bernard next? I know we need a striker, but if we have a solid midfield in place and a great looking defence a world class striker would not have any hesitation in adding their name to our squad. Call me greedy but I really think we need Bernard in the team and also it would help to have a brazilian contingency (3 midfielders that could gel well). However on the flip side of this we must keep our eye on making sure that we do not lose our identity of being an English club.
