The good news Spur's fans is that Inter have not made an official offer for the player, it is likely that one of their representatives had spoken with someone indirectly. Even more good news is that he doesn't deny talks with Tottenham, but he states clearly that no sensible offers to talk of have come in.
As expected the reports of £15million still has me laughing, how any reporter would have thought that this figure sounded sensible. I am sure even Luigi himself would be chuckling reading that (so well done to whichever bright spark came up with that one).
Have a read of what he actaully said and you can see what is happening and whats not.
"Inter Milan interested in Leandro Damiao? Someone told me about it, but there were no direct contacts and we have never received a direct offer," Luigi claimed.
"This did happen with some clubs from the English Premier League.
"The future of the player? When we get an important offer, we will evaluate it. But to sell in January, this would have to be a very, very attractive offer."
Likely the initial offer of £20million or so will get the ball rolling.
I look forward to see how this unfolds and whether there is anything in it.
