Jose Del Nido has landed in London today, supposedly with a view to selling Negredo.
I was very quick to dismiss the papers yesterday with their spin of a “Come get me plea”, however if this is right then it could be why the article was released yesterday as Del Nido's trip to the UK was known.
At this time of the year you would not expect Sevilla's president to make a trip to London for shopping or a short break, but it is rather convenient that the Negredo story was leaked yesterday and now Del Nido is in London.
The Seville club are widely known to have rising debts and the club have begun to wipe this debt clear. Ivan Rakitic has agreed a deal to take him to Moscow for €10million, but the figure that they are looking for is at least €16million (with an overall debt of €49million).
This could come as great news to other fans that were clutching their hair seeing that the Damiao deal is very unlikely. Chelsea were linked to the striker, but have since signed Ba. This leaves the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham as the only type of team that Negredo would sign for (Newcastle are in need of a striker, but I can't see Negredo going there). So we are in need of a striker they are in need of money, surely this is a perfect situation for Levy to get involved in? €18million is being quoted, but knowing Levy he'll pay no more than €15million on a good day.
