Pjanic is a name that we were very familiar with and that’s before we were linked to him. A potent and young attacking force for Roma and Bosnia known across Europe.
At £15million I believe it is a good deal. At the age of 23 and having Champions League experience (as well as International) put's this young man in good stead.
The one thing that surprises me is that the connection with Lloris has not been brought into the gossip. Both players had played together at Lyon between 2008 - 2011 and particular sources (both pro's in the media world) have said that the two have spoken about Tottenham (in brief talks with me). Take that as you will, myself I take it with a pinch of salt (as there is always a lot of chatter when there are direct links such as the Baldini/ Pjanic one). If you are being linked to a team that an ex team mate is at why would you not ask how it is?
He would bring more depth to our ever-growing talented midfield and this sort of signing would signal that Levy expects big things this season not just top 4 and that we can expect to see our squad strengthened in every area needed.
So signs of a change, but most importantly it is Levy that is coming through on his promise to Bale. So it is great news for us fans that we now look more toward expanding and building as a club!
