Konoplyanka was a player that Spurs made huge efforts to sign in the summer window (if we are to believe reports). So why is it that we have not made an approach with the player being available on a free this summer?
The Ukraine International is only 25 and players on the left side of midfield, yes an out and out left midfielder (something we do not have). For those of you that need reminding Nacer Chadli is actually a central midfielder as well as Christian Eriksen, so as it stands he would be the only player that would be in his true position.
It is another deal that would suit Levy's usual transfer style to the ground, agree a contract with the player now and then a nominal fee for a quick transfer. However as always I am concerned that we are napping. Much like we did with that filth bag Cahill we are likely thinking about it rather than tying up the business.
