MoPo was quoted as saying:
"I can't confirm [whether Villarreal are interested in Soldado]. He is our player and he is in our plans for the new season,"
The quote was taken today in the press conference in the warm up to Tottenham's Audi Cup game against Real Madrid.
What is being suggested is that MoPo will not be letting Soldado leave, however the likelihood is that Levy is not happy with the deal from Villlarreal and therefore MoPo is planning for life with the former La Liga striker.
For the past 2 seasons Spurs fans have hoped that Soldado would find his shooting boots and re-discover the rich form that saw the Spanish hitman score 165 goals in 327 games (stretching back to 2002 with Real Madrid B Team). A goals to game ratio of 0.505 is exactly what Tottenham could do with to support Kane, but in reality with just 7 goals to his name (at Spurs) I would imagine that Soldado will be leaving before the window closes.
