Ok being sensible Lloris has been great and with the club faltering we cannot expect Hugo to want to stay indefinetly. With the club always listening to offers for their stars their is simply no show of ambition.
Once Levy has gone all out, but it was due to the up roar that the club knew would follow if Bale was not replaced suitably. However it was rushed, players bought without a thought for building a team. To build a team it does take years, you cannot sell Bale and rush things through and over pay for players in sheer panic.
Allowing Lloris to move on is a bad a move as Utd allowing De Gea to move on.
Both players are young enough to grow further and turn into a No1. keeper In the World not just in fighting for that spot in the league.
Lloris has made it clear that he will see what happens, he is in no rush to push anything through. So Levy must now stand up and show that he is the tough negotiator that he always has had a reputation of being. Allowing Bale to leave was ridiculous. Push on and make things happens hold players to their contracts, but make a deal that you can stick to with them.
A player will stay where they feel there is worth. With rushed transfers and no real thought on the Bale money you cannot blame players for wanting to leave. However now there is a chance for Levy to show the players a true path. A manager that is capable of growing as well as growing the team. Now throw into it a backroom staff that have shown their worth by growing a Southampton team that had pushed the full season with Spurs!
Keeping Lloris is as important as keeping Kane, but we must show our ambition now and buy players that will improve the squad and fit the players that we wish to keep. What is key is moving the players on that are essentially a drain on the club.
If the club are to keep Lamela and Soldado than they club must buy players to compliment them. Wingers that go to the byline and put crosses in. Stops them from dropping deep to get involved in the game. Both players if they were to move on I can guarantee you that as with the likes of Falque will find instant success.
This season is make or break, if Spurs fail to move on then they will fall so far behind the top 4 that it will take millions to get them anywhere near that level again.
I cannot stress enough again that keeping Lloris is one of those key things that must happen if Spurs are to move forward and not fall behind or stagnate and by left wondering would could have been.
