There seems to be a lot of misconception in M'Vila's style and position. He is known as a defensive midfielder and although he was likened to Claude Makelele and Patrick Viera he actually had been one of the best passers in Ligue 1 and led the chart for passes attempted and passes completed (his combined pass percentage was 84%). He can also play as a box to box midfielder!
So although he may come across as the enforcer (who we have in Sandro and Parker), but would we actually be silly to pass up the opportunity? Rubin Kazan had a bid accepted and Rennes General Manager Dreossi expects to hear from M'Vila on his acceptance of Rubins terms, but if the bid has come in from AVB and co (being the secret club, oh and its confirmed its not Newcastle) then I am in fact happy with this.
M'Vila could be great to play alongside Sandro or Parker and that would allow us to play to our strength of attacking with Bale and lennon on the wings and then push dembele forward more?
I am of course panicking now as seeing that M'Vila is a great passer of the ball and his passing has been described as imaginative and precise (thats something that we really do need)! Lets face it Luka wasn’t the man we always saw in the box, he was the one doing the passing to the wings and to the box. That’s what we haven’t replaced and M’Vila could give us this!
Ok Levy I can admit when I am wrong, I should not have said that we didn't need M'Vila so quickly, make sure I now have to take back that you lack the intelligence to invest at the right time (that being January)!
