I cannot help but show a little frustration as Tottenham have a long list of players that they did not sign, only to end up moving to Portugal and becoming a highly sought after player. In this case Imbula admittingly was already highly sought after.
Although many Spurs fans may state that Imbula is not needed, however with the formation MoPo has the team setup for 2 DM’s are needed so Bentaleb will fill one slot and this does leave a vacant slot. Mason is not a DM and the two play better when not next to each other. Likelihood is simply that the 2 need time to grow. With a player like Imbula I feel it would have suited Bentaleb much better.
The good thing from all this is that it’s another linked player that we can forget about and move on.
