Our interest in Lews Holtby has been well documented and many English newspapers have put the story out there. As expected though it is the German newspapers that have the latest.
German newspaper Bild has indepth news on the deal and what Tottenham are offering the youngster.
Macrus Noack the agent of Holtby has flown out to Doha to join up with a delegate from Tottenham and the player (who is at the pre-season trainging camp wth Schalke).
Holtby can now sign a pre-contract agreement with any club outside of Germany and it is reported that Holtby has been offered £67k per week and £500,000 as his signing on fee.
Holtby has stated his desire to move to the premier league and it certainly seems that White Hart Lane is his destination.
It has also just come out that Horst Heldt (Schalke General Sport Manager) has confirmed that Holtby has decided to take a different route, but that players come and go (showing that they are resigned to losing the player).
The contract is certainly nothing to frown at and the commitment to fly out to Qatar shows Levy's eagerness to tie up this deal. More importantly with player, club and agent all in one place expect to see this wrapped up quickly.
