I would like to attempt to clear one thing up first and it was Ade's late return from South Africa.
He has broken his silence and blamed the Togo president for delaying his return. In essence him and the other players were stranded whilst waiting for the president to arrange a flight for them to see him. Right I cannot see how the likes of Ade didn't return home, but I would rather believe in a player than a reported that has a job to do (writing stories to sell newspapers).
As I have just said Ade is our only fit striker and we cannot afford to unsettle him further or through more abuse in his face.
In the end we have to look at the fact that he is a Tottenham player, what ever else you want to throw in is irrelevant and not important right now.
We have West Ham tonight and then Arsenal. Ade wants to prove his decision to leave Arsenal right and he can do this against Arsenal. He did mess us up with his last performance against them (but he did score). I would rather boost this guy with the confidence he needs and get him ready to pounce on every shot. Its common sense and we know it will work. We have nothing to lose even if it doesn’t work out!
So who's behind me, behind their team, behind lifting that morale? Forget the past, forget everything up until this point. Going forward is what is important and if AVB says we can count on Ade then I say YES!
We know he is capable, it was a question of his commitment, but he says he want’s to prove a point. Give him the benefit of the doubt and the opportunity to give us something to cheer about (we have nothing to lose)! If he does fail we can moan after the Arsenal game.
Come on fellow supporters, lets give them all what they need..... OUR SUPPORT!
