AVB has confirmed what we have all been fearing, Bale is likely to leave in the summer.
This is further news that will ignite the fires of angry fans against Daniel Levy. As it stands we will struggle to maintain our current league position without a striker (forget about Ade or Kane, one isn't interested and the other is not good enough for the EPL). I have faith in the rest of the team and AVB, but without Defoe we are in a sorry state.
As expected though as always there is a knock on effect for failure and that is no Champions League, but worse we will then begin to lose players.
I do not want to dwell on the failures of the board, nor the lazy state of some of our players, what I will concentrate on is what we need. We need Gareth to stay and on that I would rather turn the article in another direction, a positive one.
We must maintain our position! We have a valued addition in Holtby, our defence is the strongest it has been for a while (especially with Kaboul coming back) and if we can get Ade playing and Defoe back sharp then we have a chance of pushing Chelsea for automatic qualification to the Champions League. AVB has shown that he is a fantastic manager, our players have taken to his tactics well, all in all we are moving forward and quickly, I just hope that we haven't dug our grave without the needed acquisition of a striker.
We are all in this together guys & gals, the players will keep going, but we must not turn on them (whether it be the lazy Ade or not), lets keep our morale high, keep singing loud and hopefully with us all working together we can finish better than last year! This will keep one of the worlds rising stars wanting to play for us and not feel that he has to move.
