Eric Dier started off life as a right back for Tottenham, was moved into the centre of defense, but this season has found himself in the anchor position and receiving praise for his matured performances.
Having scored 178 points this season he has not yet broken into the top 10, but likely to break through soon based on his recent games.
Surprising that he was not given a place in the England squad.
Tottenham have been calling out for a bit of steel in midfield and it seems as if Dier could be that player. I had said myself before the game that Dier needs someone with experience to partner him, but (again) against City he showed a good level of maturity and was in fact the catalyst to Spurs fight back.
It seems that the 2 Eric/Erik’s are starting to show some promise and given a longer run in the team I feel that you can expect to see more from Tottenham this season
