Stoke seems to be a place that many ex-spurs players end up, Crouch, Palacios and Etherington all jump to mind.
Defoe has enjoyed a successful partnership with Crouch at Portsmouth and Tottenham, so it would make sense to Stoke and Defoe.
As stated above though it is not something that I would like to see go through. As it stands our transfer budget has not been set out to include another striker and our new players are all foreign (so I would like to keep an English contingency).
Although it's not what many fans want I could see us now keeping Ade as well as Defoe. Where this may not seem ideal for many it has high potential of succeeding due to the abundance of talent coming into midfield it will give huge assistance to anyone up front (even bringing Teddy out of retirement you'd expect at least 10 goals from him, so Ade and Defoe should match that). It then gives us the option of buying a striker next season (we can't really expect to have 2 world class strikers come in just in the summer window).
Defoe is our impact sub and although missed a sitter against Palace we know he can do the job coming off of the bench, so for me he needs to stay.
COYS!!!
