Although I do not see Tottenham stealing Lallana or Shaw from under the noses of Utd and Liverpool, however surely they would be the only signings we actually need (as long as we don't sell any of the major players).
Left back is a position that we have struggled to fill. BAE did not progress after some decent performances and Rose seems to have had the same issues (plus his injuries). IF and that's a big IF Tottenham could land Shaw then surely it covers most of our issues at the back? If you think not then yes another Southampton star Lovren would complete the necessary upgrade.
In midfield we have missed a proper dynamo in the centre (as Eriksen is utilised on the left). Lallanna would be that man to fill the void left by Modric's departure. Goals, assists and key passes are what this guy brings.
Up front we do not need another striker (unless it's a cheap one). Adebayor should be kept after a fantastic finish to the season. Some will question and state he only plays for a contract, well end of next season he doesn't have one so he'll be all guns a blazing. Soldado was never used correctly within the team and I fully believe that our new gaffa will get Roberto back to his best. Lamela can play up front or as a right forward and again expect Pochettino to get the best out of him. Then of course we have Harry. If Kane can continue where he left off last season then we have a tremendous super sub. That makes 4 yes 4 strikers.
I realise some will question my thoughts but if we have £50million to spend this summer than I can't see a better place to spend it than on Shaw and Lallana. If we need Lovren I'm sure we can get that from selling the likes of Sigurdsson, Dawson and Rose or some sort of swap + cash deal with southampton.
