With 2 of Tottenham's 3 strikers being linked with a move away it may come as a surprise that Tottenham have not been focusing on replacements. Furthermore with how last season played out surely the Tottenham scouts should have already been ordered to find at least 1 striker
As always things are said that will lead to a barrage of stories but this comment is completely non committal, with a clear taste of suicidal.
“It is true we have Harry and maybe we need to bring another striker in"
With goal scoring solely down to a 22 yr old striker that has just enjoyed a great season you have to question the clubs ability to address a crisis.
Kane has been forced to play almost 100% of the pre-season game time, which again highlights issues. Soldado and Ade are nowhere to be seen.
I cannot imagine for a minute that Spurs were not set to address this situation, but other than Alderweireld a Striker was the other priority to the club.
It is great that the defence was addressed, but with Kane now set to be the only striker (wanted by MoPo) and also that the opposition now have a glut of tapes for strategic planning, some serious planning has either not worked or been left too late AGAIN.
I am not an optimist or pessimist when it comes to Spurs and prefer to look at the now, the facts. So a defence that is upgraded is great, but should not have taken up some of the valuable time to acquire a striker.
