This shows that the reports of Atletico not hitting the date to buy out the agreed fee was incorrect. Furthermore there are no announcements from Southampton so that clears Spurs of ANY wrong doing.
You have to feel for the Southampton fans as their club have completely failed on this account to buy one of their top performers earlier. Not that this is good news to the fans, but either way look within on the issues not at Tottenham.
Toby has been on Tottenham's radar from his time at Ajax and it was Tottenham who in fact snoozed on the opportunity to sign him back in 2013 and resulting in his move to Atletico.
This window is proving to be very interesting and I for one can't wait for the next signing.
To clarify though Levy has used all of the Paulinho money is this deal so there is still plenty of money left from other sales (that of Capoue is still yet to be announced)!
