I had heard so much on this and a lot made sense, but I guess you believe what you want to at times (your head gets cloudy because you refuse to believe it).
The BBC have broken the news that Tap'em Up Madrid are in advanced talks with Tottenham over Gareth Bale.
I would like to say for the record that I am gutted if he goes this year, but you can never pin certain people down forever. Bale has proven that he is a world class player and has remained professional to the end (ok almost as its not completed). It would have been nice to see the player live up to his promise and this would have made the team unbeatable, however it is football and the one thing it is is predictable.
I would like to thank Gareth for his time at the club and it is his fee that is allowing the club to move on to big things, but it won't be the same without him.
I hope that his move to Madrid will not be like much of the other youngsters that have moved there (that Madrid has managed to almost destroy their careers), this is not sour grapes, this is more about the fact that Madrid are not the team they claim to be, nor are they worthy of such a player. I thank them for their money, but we are unlikely to see it in full for at least 3 years minimum.
As it is still a sad day to finally see this I will not be signing off with the usual, I would rather report it comment and that's it.
