Adebayor had made an impact in his first season for us, however struggled to hold down a place in the team following injury and his prolonged trip for the African Cup.
I wish Ade well in his expected new journey across to Turkey and hope that he can find a club to actually settle.
However the whole deal is supposedly reliant on Besiktas being able to participate in the Europe following some match fixing allegations. The President Orman said:
“We are interested in Adebayor, and the transfer could still go ahead. The deal breaker for Adebayor was whether we would play in Europe this season, as soon as we are cleared I will travel to London and complete the deal."
