Tottenham have partial funds in place for the stadium and let's say this is £200million. The overall project they say is £450million. So after being reminded of this I then began to process the reasoning behind the question.
Ok £250million for any player (or even £100million at that) is ridiculous, but let's face it with football becoming an ever growing business entity (and certain chairman now calling players an investment), it is likely to happen (hopefully I am not around to see this as I thought £1million for Lennon was steep haha).
At such a ridiculous offer you would have to accept it, but then it would not be an instant return as the stadium cannot be built overnight, so again it raises questions.
Knowing that this article seems stupid and highly laughable, it does however ask a more important question, what would you sell Bale at? I would not want to lose him at any costs, but some have set their valuations as low as £50million.
So ask yourself this, If Levy came out and said Bale is for sale, what would you be happy with, £50million, £85million a new stadium or would you ask for a player deal Higuain, Coentrão and Di Maria?
Let me know your thoughts or crazy conversations that have been brought up in regards to Bale's sale.
Again please take this light heartedly as it's intended. I do not expect to see Bale go and still believe that the delay is just Bale's agent trying to get the most money before Bale signs a new contract with us. But we all know as Utd fans did with Ronaldo, Madrid have a way of getting what they want. Rightly or wrongily its a horrible fact. I just hope that we milk them for what its worth. Or better waste so much of their time that the fail to improve their squad at all.
