Many Chelsea fans will disagree to this as they will be amazed that he has signed for them, but the guy is a hazard to the game. He has manufactured himself into the best position by teasing all fans, but most importantly he has used it to keep pushing his own price up.
For me he is quite possibly the worst mercenary in the game. I can really say that I am impressed that you have the likes of Adebayor and BAE that come out and state I play for money, but then you have sneaky players like Hazard who use social media to keep pushing their price up. The continued I like Tottenham, then I like City and Utd, then there are 3 clubs that I am interested in.
How is it that players are allowed to do this. He has been pushing his wages up by going public on his twitter.
I see this as a problem and it will have opened the flood gates for more greed within the game. As if it was not bad enough with City offering players that should be on £30-£40,000 £50-£60,000 to pull them away from other teams, now we have to deal with players that use Twitter to play them all off against each other to get a higher wage.
I am furious that a player can do this and worse get away with it. Looking online there were in fact many Chelsea fans that stated he's overrated, too big an ego, I hope that he flops in the EPL and then for once the clubs may all step back and think...
I'm not going to fall for that one again!
Chairmans I hope there will be a lesson to learn from all this.
That aside still waiting on a Jan decision, at least this guy has come out and said I want to play for Spurs before any Champs league decision (someone that just wants a challenge and happy with what is on offer).
