Having played for 13 different teams it is likely a record for an Egyptian player!
We all remember the 2005-2006 season in which Mido ended the campaign just behind Berbatov (12 goals) with 11 goals in 27 EPL appearances whilst on loan from Roma. We then signed him on a permanent deal and things fell apart after a fall out with Jol and subsequently in 2007 Mido was sold onto Middlesboro.
Mido was a player that had a lot of potential and never really fulfilled it. Following his first season with Boro Mido played for a new club each season and his final season (this year) was with Barnsley (where again he failed to break into the first team at all) making 1 appearance.
How the "mighty" have fallen? I for one will be grateful for Mido's first season with us where we finished 5th 8 points below Arsenal, as he really did show his potential.
I am surprised how much Mido struggled to pick his career up after his failed permanent move to us, but we all remember that he was very temperamental, which I think is what really held him back.
COYS!!!!
